Description

Colour: Red purple with an intense violet rim.
Aroma: Clean, fragrant, fruity, intense smells of red and black fruits, powerful and very enjoyable.
Palate: Silky smooth and warming, very fruity and well balanced acids. Mature tannins.

The grapes for Luzón Selección 12 2006 were hand selected from our vineyard Castillo de Luzón (1,500 ft in elevation) at their optimum ripeness.

Winemaking: the fermentation with the grape skins is at a controlled temperature; not passing 28ºC, during 10/15 days, depending on the grape varieties. Blending follows the fermentation. Each grape variety is aged separately in French (80%) and American (20%) oak barrels for an average of 12 months.

This silky smooth wine is drinking nicely now and will continue to do so through 2012.
