The Laurus wines, a prestigious range highlighting the know-how of Gabriel Meffre, have been created to represent the greatest attributes of the Côtes du Rhône and Rhône Valley crus. In order to obtain premium quality wines respecting the typicity of every appellation, careful attention is paid to the production and ageing of the wine before, during and after the vinification period. But the great particularity of the Laurus wines comes from the ageing in very special barrels: the Laurus barrel, which has a unique capacity of 275 litres. This allows a progressive oxidation which offers consequently a very elegant texture and taste in perfect harmony with original character of the wine.

LAURUS is derived from the ancient Roman “laurel” marking honour. LAURUS wines is about a concept that unites contemporary wine-making technology with the best of time-proven, traditional know-how.
