Chateau Loirac is located in the center of the Medoc region near the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Gironde estuary on the other. A veritable haven from the rush of modern life, the mid-sized winery produces a fulsome red, a dry white and, new in 2009, a rose.
The winery pursues a strategy of continual improvement gradually enhancing production, painstakingly trimming and replacing vines, all with the goal of producing full bodied wines ready to be stored for years of pleasure. It is run by a vintner born right next door using the knowledge that has passed in his family for generations.
